OUR HISTORY

Pawtails is located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. We started in Border Collies in August 1984 with the purchase of our first BC - a little boy whom I named Timmy after Timothy, the dog in the Enid Blyton Famous Five books. Prior to obtaining Timmy, we always had German Shepherd Dogs. To this day we maintain GSD's as well, but our major focus is on the Border Collie.

Timmy was quickly followed by our two foundation bitches. They were both purchased from Joan Bray of Bordercheck Kennels at Robertson in the Southern Highlands of NSW. The two bitches were Bordercheck Myfanwy (Myffy) and Bordercheck Caithness (known as Old Caity). These two sound girls provided us with the core of what is now Pawtails. From them we have produced:

• Best in Show winners (both All Breeds and Specialty)
• Multiple class in group and in show winners
• American Champions
• Sweepstake winners and placegetters
• Breeder of winner of BCC of NSW Futurity Sweepstakes 1995
• Breeder/owner of Runner up to Winner of BCC of NSW Futurity Sweepstakes 1995
• Sydney and Canberra Royal class winners and placegetters
• Winner and Placegetter of Property Classes at BC Specialty and semi-Specialty Shows
• AKC Champions in the USA
• Obedience and Agility titled dogs
• Breeder of first "ee" Red & White Champion in Tasmania
• Quality pets
• Dogs that can, and do, work sheep and cattle
• Progeny from our stock now reside in the USA, and Japan
